VISION

Not much touches my soul more deeply than witnessing the pure magical joy of imagination coming to life!  The metamorphosis of a child (of any age) into their dream fantasy.  Fleeting impermanence in the nature of face paint lends powerful immediacy to the experience and brings us here, now into THIS moment with the ones we cherish.

Personal touch

I aim to get to know my clients before any event to provide a tailored service. For each event I spend time leading up to your day planning and preparing my kit and personalizing my offerings.  For any theme party or event I create and practice a compilation of designs to offer that fit with the theme, interests and ages of the participants.  I have been known to make personalized or themed "split-cakes" to create high impact designs in specialized color schemes.  Clients may request a specific style of attire to fit with the type of function. From slacks and blouse to fairy costumes, logo tee shirts to themed attire.

I use only professional paints and products from reputable face paint companies that are tested safe, are industry standard and FDA approved* (neon paints have not been tested by the FDA but have gone through rigorous product testing, have been shown safe and are industry standard in face painting.  Please inquire for more details.)

I employ strong hygiene standards and follow manufacturers recommendation for hygienic use.  Professional paints contain their own safe and effective anti-microbial ingredients.  I am trained to recognize and avoid painting clients with contagious conditions.  (I am not able to make exceptions for this as it would void my liability insurance.)  I wash and sanitize my kit, including all of my brushes, sponges and paints after every gig.

Covid 19

Since the start of the pandemic, I have trained in Covid specific sanitation protocols for the beauty industry and specifically for face painters.  I have implemented procedures similar to other beauty industries that reduce the risk of viral transmission.  I offer a range of sanitation levels to best fit your style of gathering and needs of your guests.  The lower the level, the faster I can get through a line, yet higher the "risk". The higher level of sanitation, the slower I will paint but with lower the risk.  Keep in mind that at any gathering, chance of viral spread is more likely during play and conversation or standing in line than it is from face painting.

The minimum sanitation procedure that I will apply is: I will wear a mask or a shield (until I am fully vaccinated and social restrictions allow close un masked contact, thereafter the Host may choose if I mask or not.) I will always clean and sanitize my kit before and after every gig. I will use cosmetic grade disinfecting agents in my paintbrush multi-well water system. I will rinse brushes between clients. I will use 1 sponge per child and avoid double dipping.  I will sanitize my hands regularly and offer sanitizer to guests.

Enhanced sanitation protocol is thus: I wear a mask or shield.  Clients may choose to wear masks or not. I use cosmetic grade disinfecting agents in my paintbrush multi-well water system and add a final dip of cosmetic alcohol/brush sanitizer.   I have fresh dipping water for each client/family.  I wash my brushes between each client.  I use 1 sponge per child and avoid "double dipping".  I spray my paint cakes with cosmetic disinfectants and wipe the cakes if any contamination/double dipping is necessary. I use hand sanitizer between customers and ask customers to sanitize hands before being painted. Chair sanitation can be done upon request as well.

You can choose for us to paint an arm rather than a face, or avoid the nose and mouth area if you prefer. I ask that hosts manage social distancing in the face paint line if that is important to you or your guests. I can always number the hands of those wanting to be painted to prevent the need for lining up. If you are worried about transmission, I suggest you avoid engaging in face and body art, as there is no way to avoid contact during this service. If you have questions at any time, please email or call/text me at 802-578-1679

Training & Education

Since I discovered my passion for face painting and body art in the Fall of 2018, I have been continuously in training.  I have attended numerous on-line courses from many industry leaders and have joined two web-based face painting schools.  I maintain a membership at FABATV and I have earned my Certificate of Completion from the International Face Painting School.  I've had the pleasure of getting my "On The Job" training from working on many of You, my friends, neighbors and community!
